ADMTEI offers three types of workshops:

 

Spring Workshop At ADMTEI


Join us each April for a day-long workshop on relevant topics for all early childhood educators. Topics change yearly, but have included:

  • Montessori's Unique Insights and Recent Brain Research Findings
  • Development of Self-Esteem in Young Children
  • Use of Positive Language in the Montessori Prepared Environment
  • Development of Morality in Young Children
  • The Spirituality of the Child and Teacher
  • Montessori's Essential Element: Normalization
  • Development of Empathy in Young Children
  • Fostering Children's Ability to Think & Problem-Solve

 

This workshop will be held on a Saturday in April on the campus of the Adrian Dominican Sisters in Adrian, Michigan and provides 6 clock-hours of instruction for professional development. Open to all educators. Registration begins in February.

Summer Workshop At ADMTEI

Attention Teacher Assistants and those who wish to be one! Join us for a two-day workshop in August that covers vital and relevant topics. The goals of this workshop are:

  • To present a systematic overview of Montessori Philosophy
  • To present a systematic overview of Child Development
  • To provide a deeper understanding of the Montessori Learning Environment
  • To make the curriculum areas come alive for participants
  • To provide the opportunity for participants to earn an Assistant Certificate

 

This workshop provides 12 contact hours of instruction for professional development and a certificate of attendance.
