ADMTEI is presenting its annual two-day Workshop for Montessori Assistants on August 13 and 14, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days. This workshop is designed for Montessori assistants, substitutes, and classroom volunteers and will cover the following topics:
- Introduction to Montessori Philosophy
- Promoting the Development of Self-Discipline
- Key Roles: The Teacher & The Assistant
- Fostering Healthy Emotional Development
- Methods and Materials
- The Importance of the Prepared Environment
Presenters are Sister Leonor J. Esnard, OP, PhD, Director and Practicum Coordinator for ADMTEI, and Debra Gorman Cagle, MEd, faculty member at ADMTEI, and adjunct faculty member at Siena Heights University.
The workshop will be held at the Weber Retreat and Conference Center, located on the campus of the Adrian Dominican Sisters in Adrian, Michigan. If you are interested in local lodging during the workshop, the ADMTEI office can provide you with details.
This popular program provides 12 Contact Hours of Professional Development. The cost is $175 per person, with a 10% discount for three or more registrants. That price includes a full lunch buffet on site both days.
